POSITION
Summary:

The Flood Specialist serves as a subject-matter-expert on flood compliance, coverage, regulations and documentation throughout all phases of lending and loan operations processes. The position performs compliance reviews and works collaboratively to resolve discrepancies ensuring compliance and protection of the Bank s security interest while demonstrating the Vision, Purpose, Expectations and Values.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Bachelor s degree in business from an accredited university
5 or more years of experience as a Flood Compliance Specialist or an equivalent role.
Banking compliance experience preferred.
Highly motivated team player with ability to provide interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.
Able to analyze and record detailed information and produce accurate, high quality work products.
Able to research, analyze, identify viable options, draw sound conclusions, and present findings.
Thorough knowledge of financial covenants, business entities, standard and non-standard loan products.
Thorough knowledge of loan compliance policy.
Specialized, in-depth knowledge of flood compliance regulations, insurance coverage and documentation requirements.
Knowledge of lending, loan closing and processing procedures.
Knowledge of banking and document storage software applications.
Able to manage and organize a high volume of documents.
Able to read, analyze and interpret complex loan documents.
Able to perform accurate calculations and transactions.
Position may require the need to travel to other branch or meeting locations.

DUTIES/
Responsibilities:

Strictly adheres to Bank Secrecy Act requirements and applies organizational policies and procedures in all activities.
Researches and provides actionable advice, consultative guidance and subject-matter-expertise to all lending and loan operations functions related to flood compliance, coverage and documentation throughout all phases of lending and loan operations processes.
Serves as a liaison to internal and external auditors and examiners related to flood compliance.
Performs quality reviews to verify completeness, accuracy and compliance of loan files, packages and collateral documentation with all requirements and endorsements.
Reviews all loans with property within designated flood zones to assess flood compliance and documentation.
Collaborates with lending and loan operations partners to resolve discrepancies in collateral and coverage documentation.
Prepares, maintains, reviews and audits documentation, records and data.
Performs and validates calculations.
Prepares and submits filings, reports and related documents.
Maintains compliance with internal controls, operational procedures and risk management policies.
Works to understand the root causes of complex customer service issues. Identifies and implements resolutions.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
