Summary:
The Senior Packaging Equipment Engineer will support new packaging equipment front end planning, project definition, equipment specification/selection, design review, procurement, and other engineering activities for domestic projects.
All this will be in support of oral solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing of tablets, capsules, and powders.
In this role, the Senior Packaging Equipment Engineer will demonstrate technical excellence to ensure that the goals and objectives of the projects are accomplished in the prescribed time frame and within the budget.

Responsibilities:
Prepares the specification of packaging equipment, solicits equipment bids, review vendor's equipment proposals, and provides technical support to enable decision making on equipment selection.
Develops project feasibility and alternatives:
include order of magnitude cost estimate, description of capacities, rates of production, material of construction.
Determines and optimizes equipment utilization requirements to achieve maximum productivity within project cost constraints.
Provides project justification and description with final project cost estimate and planned timing of implementation.
Responsible for machine safety and the adherence to policies and regulations to ensure that all designs comply to safety standards.
Provides engineering support activities for manufacturing facilities, which include major capital projects, equipment upgrades, major equipment and system purchases as well as installations.
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

in Engineering preferably Mechanical Engineering Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience or manufacturing support, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry developing packaging equipment solutions MUST have packaging equipment experience Required Competencies:
